Is the porcelain coated steel wire cooking grid for my BY14-101-001-03 an upgrade from the original that came with my set? I don't remember my burned out rack being porcelain coated.

I am not sure what came with your grill. Just remember, do not use a wire brush to clean this cooking grid. Wad up a piece of aluminum foil and use that to get off any leftover food particles. A brush is too abrasive.
