First time using this product. Anyone recommend applying any product to grid set before first time using?

Great question! You don't really need to use anything before grilling with these grids. They have a porcelain coating to protect them from rust and oxidization. As you use the grids, if any of the coating chips off, you can wipe the grid with oil. However, for day to day grilling, we recommend oiling your food instead of your grids. That way, the oil doesn't burn off before you start cooking.
