Are these meant to have a hole in the end opposite the propane-in end?
A
No, there is not suppose to be a hole in the back end of the burner. If you have a rust hole, you need new burners. When you light your grill, you should have a nice even blue flame up both sides. If you see large wavy yellow flames, you probably need new burners.
