No, this paint is intended for the outside of the grill. If you grids are rusting, treat them with cooking oil, like you would a cast iron skillet. And remember, never use a stainless steel brush to clean your cooking grids. It is too abrasive. It causes scratches, which become cracks in the porcelain coating and will chip off and rust. Only use a brass bristle brush or wad up a piece of aluminum foil and clean the grids.

This Hi-Temp black paint is not brand specific. Since Ducane is no longer in business, I do know where you can get "Ducane Black" paint.

This paint is for the outside of the grill. If you have flakes on the inside, it carbon build up. Just use a wire brush to clean it off.

We suggest you use a wire brush to remove as much rust as you can and then coat the grids with cooking oil. Treat it as you would a cast iron skillet. Should you decide to purchase new grills, do not use a wire brush to clean them. Use a nylon scrubby on cold grids. Using a wire brush causes scratches which become cracks and that is where your rust comes from on shiny grids. If you have matte grids, you can use a brass bristle brush but never stainless steel brushes.

This paint is intended for the outside of the grill only. You do not need to paint the inside of the grill. If you see flaking inside the grill, that is smoke build up.
