how to loosen screws on burner. to loosen screw do you turn it clock wise. seems to tighten when i turn it counter clo9ck wise

If it will not loosen either way, you may have to drill the screw head out. It should loosen when turned counter clock wise.

I'd recommend carefully removing the parts out of your grill and compare the dimensions. They made different size burners that will fit the different Weber Genesis Silver grills.
