I can't find instructions on how to open this part to change the battery? I have an older grill and I'm having trouble figuring this part out.

To replace the battery, unscrew the plastic collar around the rubber button and remove the button assembly. You should then be looking at the old battery. Since the button is visible on the control panel, this allows you to replace the battery easily without having to remove the spark generator from the control panel. This is how most pushbutton spark generators work but there are exceptions. Also, grills that are very old use a piezo electric spark generator that doesn't take a battery.
