The imagine for this part doesn’t match the original I have on the grill. Will it still fit AND function properly or just as good as the original part? Thanks

As long as they are the same size, it will work, and last longer than our original. The purpose of a heat plate is to protect the burner and help radiate heat. This is probably an upgrade form your original equipment.
