This should work well with your grill. If you encounter any issues, just put some electrical tape over the extra outlet.

That is going to depend of the manufacturer. If it doesn't work the way you think it should, turn the battery around and try it that way too. If it still doesn't work, you probably need a new igniter.

Unplug the wires from the back of the unit, remove the cap - there will be a nut right there to unscrew. Now push unit through. Now just reverse the steps to install the new unit. It does not mater what order you plug the wires back onto the the back of the unit.

Your grill takes "remote" ignitor switch. After removing the screw on cap, there is a screw on washer/nut that you will also unscrew. Then you can push the module inside the cabinet to unhook the wires and replace with the new module. Here is a link to the parts for your grill.
